She is an amazing actress; who brings life and character to every roll that I have seen her play. She is extremely beautiful and exhibits a warm, intelligent and loving personality in all of her interviews. She is a contender for Oscar in any roll that she plays.

Charlize Theron is an Oscar-winning actress and star of the movie Monster.
Theron grew up as an only child. Her father, Charles Theron, owns a construction company; her mother, Gerda, sustains her husbands company since his death. At the age of 13, she was sent to a boarding school, and at 15 her father died; he was an alcoholic and her mother shot him in defence. Theron's first language is Afrikaans, then English.
Theron's career began when she was 16 on a one-year modelling contract. She stayed in New York to attend the Joffery Ballet school. During her training she appeared in producitons of Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. After a leg injury, she gave up her aspirations in ballet.
Theron posed nude in the May 1999 issue of Playboy. She appeared in several notable films including The Devil's Advocate, Sweet November, and Trapped. Then in 2003 she starred in Monster. She received high praise for her role as a lesbian serial killer; according to Roger Ebert, it is "one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema." Theron won Best Actress at the 2004 Oscars.
Theron has been in a long-term relationship with Stuart Townsend; the two reside in Los Angeles. She has jokingly said she will not marry him until same-sex couples have their marriages recognized. She is the spokeswoman for Dior perfume. She is very involved in several Women's rights organizations.
