Don Cheadle is an an actor best-known for his role as the district attorney on Picket Fences and for his role in the 2006 American Best Picture, Crash.

Since Picket Fences Cheadle has appeared in several films including Rosewood, The Family Man, Out of Sight, Traffic, and Ocean's Eleven, all of which were directed by Steven Soderbergh. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda. More recently he stared in the 2006 American Best Picture, Crash.

Cheadle is currently practicing his directorial skills, and will debut an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's (author of The Bounty Hunters) Tishomingo Blues. He will appear in After the Sunset as gMoore, a delusional underworld crime figure, as well as Stephen Soderbergh's Ocean's Twelve.

Cheadle has been with actress Bridgid Coulter since the early-90's. The couple has two daughters, Ayana and Imani. Aside from acting, Cheadle is also a talented musician who plays saxophone, writes music, and sings. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
