Michael Keaton is an American actor with considerable range, perhaps best-known for his role as Batman.

Michael Keaton dropped out of college after two years to pursue a stand-up comedy career. However, he found himself working as a television cameraman at a cable station; this is when he realized his potential as as actor. He moved to Los Angeles to audition for television roles. Some included, Mister Roger's Neighborhood and The Mary Tyler Moore Hour.

The film Working Shifts highlighted Keaton's comedic talent and he scored leads in subsequent comedies including Mr. Mom and Gung Ho. His role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice gave him widespread attention. He was chosen by Burton for the role of Bruce Wayne in Batman in 1989.

Other films during the 1990s diversified his acting profile: Much Ado About Nothing, Multiplicity, Out of Sight, and thriller Desperate Measures. More recent films include, White Noise, and Herbie: Fully Loaded, however non of these brought the same success as Batman. He will be the lead in Reaper, which will be released in 2007.

Keaton's hobbies are horseback riding and fly-fishing as his ranches in California and Montana.
