Monica Lewinsky is best known as the White House intern who had an affair with President Bill Clinton in 1998.

In 1995, Lewinsky graduated from college and landed an intern position at the White House. The sexual liaison with Clinton surfaced after Linda Tripp spoke about owning a tape of a telephone conversation with Monica on which she discusses her affair with Bill Clinton.

Initially Clinton denied having a sexual relationship with Lewinsky, in public and under oath. Lewinsky was given immunity from prosecution when she gave a detailed testimony of the affair. Clinton was then forced to admit the sexual relationship and was impeached by the House of Representatives.

In 1999 Andrew Morton released a book, Monica's Story, which documented Lewinsky's side of the story.

Lewinsky recently started a career designing handbags and selling them using her own brand name. She was also host of the Mr. Personality, a reality-television program about dating. She lives in New York City.
