Reese Witherspoon is best known for her role in the film Legally Blonde.
Reese is a direct descendant of John Witherspoon, a singer of the United States Declaration of Independence, and minister. Her father worked for the US military, and lived in Germany for four years of her childhood and the her adolescence in a Nashville suburb. She has one sibling, John witherspoon, a real estate broker. Fresh out of college, Witherspoon pursued an acting career.
Witherspoon's most acclaimed performances include her role as Vanessa in Freeway, Tracy Flick in Election, and Ella Woods in Legally Blonde. He most critically praised film is as June Carter in Walk the Line (2005).
On her 21st birthday in March, 1997, she met Ryan Phillippe. They instantly became a couple and then stared together in Cruel Intentions, a 1999 box office hit. They were married in June, 1999. The have two children: Ava Elizabeth (1999) and Deacon (2003).
