Sean Hannity is a conservative American talk radio host: co-host of Fox News program Hannity & Colmes.

Hannity grew up in Franklin Square, NY. He was educated in Catholic schools on Long Island.

At the beginning of his radio career, after having dropped out of New York University, he became the known as the most talked about college radio host in America.

His first job was as a morning talk show host for Huntsville, Alabama's WVNN. Next, he was hired by a news station in Atlanta to fill the vacated position of Neal Boortz. Still relatively new to the radio and TV news profession, he was hired by Roger Ailes to co-host WABC's Hannity and Colmes in New York. This station became nationally syndicated on September, 10 2001, and is currently heard by 400 national stations and is heard by over 13 million listeners weekly.

Hannity is, without a doubt, controversial and confrontational. He is known for his often extreme conservative views; critics call him a liar and accuse him being rude and disrespectful to guests. His claim is to "cure any person of their liberalism" in one show -- he calls this "hannitization."

Hannity is married, has two children, and belongs to the Roman Catholic church.
