I think it’s just simply time to go for president Karimov as has been on his chair long enough and now someone else needs to take over... This is very difficult question whether he has been good or bad president for UZB over the last 20 years period but we are desperate for a new leader for the country.

after Karimov`s first election, Uzbekistan declared Independence with full confidence and started a new journey throughout the history. as a historian, i can say that the first years of Independence was hard time which required very sensible and powerful politics. like a new family should get everything for daily use or just to make a living, uzbekistan needed a lot of things even beyond the people`s imagination. in no country this long process has been passed without any wars. However, as the results of Karimov`s wise politics, Uzbekistan passed all difficulties and troubles peacefully. the country grew up in quick manner and was accepted as an independent country by almost all countries of the world. since then, Karimov is putting so much effort in developing all aspects of economics. of course the country couldnt achieve the same rates as america or other top countries of the world in just 19 years. but whatever it has achieved has been valuably fast. about democracy, i can tell that Uzbek should not be given it yet. as people do not understand what the democratic right is, they cannot fully use it. they are being taught day by day about what is democracy first. i cannot imagine such development in Uzbekistan if it was ruled by someone else. Karimov has spent all his power for Uzbek, and no one knows whom he is preparing for the future of his beloved country. the generations of his country will be grateful for what he has done for them.
